A Journey Through Stone, Light, and Legacy
In Villa Fabiani, you are our dear guest; you are part of the stories and legends that have unfolded here for centuries. The Fabiani family created this historic space over a long time and many generations. Architect Blanka breathed new energy into the estate with the revitalization of the stone buildings and surroundings. Today, the historically revitalized estate lives new stories in boutique tourism and viticulture, and in the stories of Andrej, a lover of vintage Porsche cars. Daughter Katarina opened the estate to elegant wedding stories; Monika complemented the story with a line of cosmetics and fragrances. Whether you stay in the shelter of our walls or venture into the surroundings of the Natura 2000 park, the legendary story of Villa Fabiani lives a new life.
A world of slow living and architectural wonders.

The Maks Fabiani thematic trail is a walking path that connects the center of Štanjel via the Ferrari Garden and the castle to the estate in Kobdilj.

Spend a morning under the legendary Fabiani mulberry. The oldest fruit tree in Slovenia is a living monument and the heart of our estate’s romantic legacy, immortalized in literature, in the romance novel by Renato Ferrari, The Fabiani Mulberry.

A story set in the early 19th century follows the sparks that fly between Charlotta von Koffler, a member of Trieste high society, and Anton Fabiani, a Karst landowner. The crown jewel of the Fabiani estate is the vine-covered path under the trellis leading to a hidden pond—a perfect "oasis of peace." As the novel says: "On this bench, on the evening of August 22, 1844, we promised to love each other until our last breath. If you want to feel our vibe, sit there; you will hear our hearts beating as one."
